Im Your Ad Guy

Phillip Deems

The Next Round Is Yours!

No matter how hard you plan, rehearse or train in life…there will always be adversity.  Even though I am running toward 40 instead of running from it, I know I will have set backs.  Change is inevitable and unforseen situations will arise.  But, I am here to tell you that no matter what the situation is…IT WILL PASS.  I promise you.  When you look back after all is said and done, you will want to make sure that you handled it properly.

The Best Defense Is A Great Offense!

Your first reaction when something bad happens is to feel sorry for yourself.  Although this feels natural, it will only prolong the situation.  Instead of falling back on the ropes and allowing LIFE to beat the crap out of you, start punching back.  If you lost a sale, immediately go after another one.  If you ended a relationship, immediately start working on bettering yourself and the new one will find you.  If you lost a job, immediately start building a plan to get a new one.  If an illness arises, immediately start planning your strategy to beat it.  IMMEDIATELY is the key word here.

Look Back And Lose!

Once you start your offensive and are moving forward, don’t look back.  It will only prolong your adversity.  If you want to look backwards, use what I call the rear-view mirror.  (You can still move forward while looking in your rear-view)  This will allow you to see the adversity as it should be…behind you!  IMMEDIATELY plan your next step by looking forward to better things in life.

So What You Lost The Last Round!

Life will not have sympathy…it will not stop throwing kicks at you!  Train yourself to fight through the adversity.  Don’t waste time on the past, there is nothing you can do about a round you lost.  Focus on winning the next round!
