Im Your Ad Guy

What’s Your Story?

As individuals get to know you and your story, they will naturally ask a lot of questions.  Some of the questions I get are… If they could make a movie about your life, what genre would it be in?  If a musical was created about your life, what would it sound like?  What play, opera etc… These are normally creative types that are asking, but anyone when asked, can learn a lot about themselves as they answer.

But, if I really want to get to know someone now a days, I ask what ‘I think’ is a more interesting question.  “If an artist was going to portray your life on canvas, through music and through photography…how would you be captured?”

Stop what you are doing to think about this one for a moment.  What colors would the artist use?  Would they be passionate or passive colors?  What musical genre would they choose?  Would it be intense, moody or soft?  What would your photographs convey?  Would you see anger, happiness or sadness?

Really think about how you answer this question.  Everyone has a story to tell and who better to tell it than you.  Tell me your story!

Mine would be splashes of color all over the canvas…There would definitely be some moody, dark undertones…but there would be so much light and many bright colors on top of them that you would barely notice them. The darkness would only serve the purpose of showing everyone how bright and vivid the other colors are! Everyone has the dark and moody stuff, but hopefully the light and bright take the front and center position in your life.

I believe I would have one color…Red! I tend to be very passionate about everything. Work, my wife and my life. This is not always a good thing.
