Don’t Be A JOURNEY KILLER!

As I rode into work this morning, music loud, drowning out the torrential downpour that was making traveling difficult, a question popped into my mind.  Why do people allow their external environment control their actions, their mood and their outlook?  The 1000 days of Florida rain, or so it seems, has brought out the worst in many of the individuals around me.

“Uggggh I hate this rain, it makes me want to go home and sleep!”  “All this rain makes me depressed!”  “Can’t really get any work done today with all this rain!”  (BLAH, BLAH)

These types of comments have made me realize that many people don’t have control of their own lives.  They let factors out of their control, control them!  Is that really how you see yourself?  Are you just a puppet to your environment?  Are you going to let external factors dictate the pace of your fight toward true happiness?  Now, I understand that no one’s perfect, but if you are a “Fighter” you will understand that this is how you get your ass kicked.  Don’t let life kick your ass!

Train hard to control the factors that you can control and at the same time ignore the factors that you can’t control.  Supress the next complaint that starts to come out of your mouth.  Ignore any comments that try to drag you into a conversation that is counter-productive.  Focus and I mean FOCUS on your goal of making your personal and professional life successful.

I’m fighting off negativity on my Journey to 4.0!  Control your actions, emotions and your surroundings…don’t let them control you!  Now go win!
